ARISE® Comprehensive Care with Intervention is an evidence based, best practice model of intervention.

Approach

I am a certified ARISE® Interventionist. The ARISE® Intervention and Comprehensive Care approach is an evidence-based, best-practice model. It is a unique approach in that it uses a compassionate Invitational Intervention®, the ARISE® Continuum of Care is a gradually escalating process of respectful, gentle family meetings, that leads your loved one into appropriate treatment and recovery. Your Person of Concern is invited to join the process right from the beginning with no surprises, no secrets, no coercion, and absolute respect and love. This is directed towards getting the addicted loved one into treatment with the least possible effort through a loving, compassionate, and non-blaming First Call and First Meeting. The support system is mobilized to form a committed Intervention Network to motivate the addicted individual into treatment.

Arise® Intervention

Alison Broussard, CAI

Intervention is a journey, not just a single event. The ARISE® intervention requires a commitment of at least six months. Some of the key benefits include:

  • Collaborating and developing suitable support systems with family members and professionals

  • Aiming to prevent early dropout from treatment

  • Creating and executing a relapse prevention plan

  • Coordinating effective aftercare to ensure long-term success

  • Preparing for emergency meetings, if necessary

  • Involving the family in psychoeducational efforts

  • Furthering the promotion of long-term recovery for individuals and families

Consultation

Often you or your loved one are ready to get help and all you need are the next steps and vetted facilities. Please contact us for more information. Although we do not recommend consultation alone as the first line of defense against the disease of addiction, a consultation can help get you on the right path or help those who have relapsed get back on course.

Intervention FAQs

  • Arise® Intervention and Comprehensive Care is VERY effective. Research shows that family involvement significantly increases the chances of long-term recovery. In working with a family there is a 100% chance of improvement but it doesn’t always mean that your loved one gets into treatment right away. Here is what the research shows:

    ARISE® Invitational Intervention® gets over 60% into treatment in 1 week; 83% in 3 weeks, 96% within 6 months.
ARISE® Comprehensive Care gets 61% healthy, problem substance & behavior free at 1 year, with the remaining 10% improved.

  • No. At this time insurance doesn’t cover intervention, but we work with your insurance provider when finding the best treatment for your loved ones. We also advocate for better pricing and work with you to understand the money you are spending to help your loved ones. Often times families are spending exorbitant amounts of money that can be fueling the addictive lifestyle.

  • Family intervening IS rock bottom for many that struggle with addiction. This is about keeping the family safe while being honest about what you are witnessing. Most times people use the term he/she just needs to hit their “rock bottom” in order to avoid confrontation or being honest with their loved one. Not addressing addiction can be dangerous for your loved one and the family.

  • The sooner the better. Because the ARISE® approach works with everyone right where they are, it can be started wherever you are in the struggle. This process is an evidence-based, best practice model that serves a number of issues that families encounter. It is recommended once you have awareness around an issue with any type of substance misuse, mental health, and other family difficulties, action should be taken.

  • YES. Although I reside in the Texas Hill Country, I travel all over to help families just like yours. The initial meeting(s) can and most often occur in person. Subsequent meetings can be offered on a secure video conferencing platform. *Travel expenses apply and will be invoiced.
