About Alison
Alison is a Certified ARISE® Interventionist and Arise® Trainer dedicated to assisting families grappling with substance addiction and mental health issues. She trains others in the intervention work through the evidence-based ARISE® Model established by Dr. Judith Landau.
After exploring various intervention approaches, Alison discovered that the ARISE® Comprehensive Care with Intervention resonated deeply with her own beliefs about seeking help and recovery. She firmly advocates for a no shame, no blame philosophy, viewing ARISE® as a compassionate and loving intervention model. With a career in addiction treatment and recovery spanning since 2009, Alison has held diverse roles in numerous treatment centers.
Early in her own recovery journey, she recognized her gift for connecting with individuals and guiding them on their recovery paths. She found fulfillment in helping shift the narrative for those struggling with addiction, emphasizing the importance of seeking help and the availability of hope for everyone.
Alison has successfully assisted many individuals in obtaining treatment and achieving long-term recovery.
Alison is a member of The Association for Addiction Professionals (NAADAC) and has been actively practicing the ARISE® model since 2017. She is also a co-founder and the visionary behind Mosaics of Mercy, a nonprofit organization in Montgomery County that connects individuals to mental health and addiction resources.
As a woman in long-term recovery from alcohol and food addiction, Alison is married and has two adult children. Currently residing in the Texas Hill Country with her husband, she is devoted to diminishing the stigma surrounding substance use disorders and mental health issues while striving to find exceptional resources for your loved ones.
